Will Cliff

Will's Sharks career may still be in its infancy but he has already proved beyond doubt he has the bravery - and talent - to be mainstay. Though slight, Will clearly has a big heart having turned out for the Sharks in 2008/09 with less than full vision after suffering an horrific injury just months earlier. After three separate fractures of the eye socket while playing for the reserves, he was back in action after barely a week's training. After playing juniors at Sandbach, Will joined Macclesfield before signing up with the Sale Academy and played for Cheshire from Under-15 upwards. Having spent the early part of 2007/08 helping Manchester win promotion, he returned to Edgeley Park and was the club's Academy Player of the Year that season.

Will is on loan at Leeds Carnegie for the rest of the 2011-12 season.
