Scotland The third Scottish forward to join Steve Diamond's revolution in the summer, Alasdair moved north from Gloucester. The former Heriot's pupil joined Edinburgh in 2004, moving to Kingsholm three years later. During his time with the Cherry and Whites, he made 60 appearances, scoring three tries. A Scotland international through the age groups, he earned his first full cap as a replacement against New Zealand in the 2007 World Cup, came off the bench in the Calcutta Cup win against England for his second and made his first start against France two years later after eight substitute appearances. Diamond said: "Alasdair is a great signing for us. He has a very high work rate and is a good scrummager and will fit in perfectly here." |
