2009/10 End of Season Gala Dinner - Wednesday 12th May at Edgeley Park
We celebrated the end of the 2009/10 Rugby Season with the Sale Sharks players and coaches.
It was an evening to discover who was recognised for their outstanding achievement with the following awards:
- Player of the Season, sponsored by MBNA: Charlie Hodgson
- Players' Player of the Season,sponsored by Flowcrete: James Gaskell
- Try of the Season., sponsored by UKFast: James Gaskell's try against Harlequins on New Year's Day, started by Neil Briggs near the other end!
- Breakthrough Player of the Season, sponsored by esl studio: James Gaskell
- Most Improved Player, sponsored by Michelin: Sisa Koyamaibole
- Community Player of the Season: Andrew Sheridan
- Sin Bin Award, sponsored by The Hogfather: Chris Jones for an impromptu dance in lineout training!
- Academy Player of the Season: Tom Brady
We said farewell to long-time Sharks' Dean Schofield and Richard Wigglesworth who left the club at the end of the season.
The 300 guests were able to cast their votes on the night for their choice of Try of the Season.
