There are some very good golfers within the Sharks’ squad with at least 10 players carrying official handicaps. Included in that group is the Guinness Premiership’s all-time leading points scorer Charlie Hodgson, England international Mark Cueto, and Wales scrum half Dwayne Peel. But it is the England scrum half Richard Wigglesworth who will have the training edge as his parents converted their farm into the Staining Lodge Golf Club in Blackpool a couple of years ago.

The day has been organised by the Guinness Premiership’s all-time leading try scorer Steve Hanley, who is now working for the club in a business development role. One of Steve’s main projects has been to develop the club’s golf day into an outstanding annual event in the greater Manchester sporting calendar. Seventeen teams have booked onto the event already, but there is still room for another 7 teams – bringing the field up to 24.

Get your team together and join Steve and the Sharks' for a fun afternoon of Golf on 3rd July.
