Service on mobile devices
The site serves more effectively on mobile phones and tablets, improving user experience through these types of devices. Blackberry users, who had particular difficulty with our old website, and other mobile users can browse the new site without difficulty.
Improved bio information
Fans now have access to more player data through the player bio pages, with player stats being updated as the season progresses. We have also added a number of coach and backroom staff, to give more of an insight to those behind the club.
Over the course of the season you will see a number of blog posts from players, staff and fans. Dave Seymour has posted the first of the staff posts whilst season ticket holder, and videographer, Jen Urwin has written the first of the fan blog posts. If you would like to write something for the fans blog, please submit your 300-500 word article to Digital Marketing Executive email@example.com.
We wanted to make it easier for fans to access ticket information, latest news and read our updated information. For this reason, we have incorporated a number of widgets on our homepage, enabling fans to access information directly rather than have to click through menus.
Emphasis on social media
Since starting with the club in November, Sale Sharks social media output has been high on my priority list. Through Facebook, YouTube and Twitter we have been able to give fans a unique insight to the club and it's players. For this reason, we have included a couple of social media widgets on the front page of the site. We also have a number of interesting projects planned over the coming season, so be sure to Like, subscribe and follow us to keep up to date with what is going on at the club.
Stats, stats and more stats…
The new SaleSharks.com is full of statistics, whether you want to find out about individual players or club statistics, everything is there for you and is updated regularly.
