Sale Sharks pair Johnny Leota & TJ Ioane have been named in the Samoa squad which will take on Fiji in the Pacific Nations Cup Final tomorrow morning at 1am.
Samoa have made seven changes to the side which beat Canada last Wednesday, with Leota returning to the starting XV. TJ Ioane is named on the bench, having started the previous two games for the side. Head Coach Stephen Betham said: "The focus was to pick the run-on 15 and a bench that would keep intensity for the full 80 minutes."
The two sides met in the pool stages when Samoa came from 27-10 down to secure a 30-30 draw, and it should be another high-scoring affair, with Fiji the side with both the best attack and worst defence in the tournament so far.
Elsewhere in the Pacific Nations Cup, Tonga have named Viliami Fihaki on the bench for their third-place playoff match against Japan. This game kicks off at 10pm tonight.
All of the action can be followed at www.worldrugby.org/pnc, and we wish our three Sharks players the best of luck!
The Sale forward pack were left disappointed after two pick and go tries from Newcastle meant that the Sharks would drop points at home for the first time this season. Hooker Tommy Taylor has said that the way in which the two tries were conceded was frustrating.
