Before the game the crowd was brought to their feet and a collective silence fell upon Salford City Stadium as we remembered Nevin Spence and PC Fiona Bone and PC Nicola Hughes who lost their lives this week. With the constant stream of moving lights from the ominous looming Barton bridge, the whistle sounded and the game began.
Sale need a win. Things started as, unfortunately, they seemed to continue. Within the first 10 minutes Sale were 10 points down. At some points the game seemed to turn into a kicking match between the backs and the forwards were stuck in the middle. London Welsh were solid and communication was strong within their pack.
Regardless of the immaculate view, the game was, well, pretty disappointing.
However we must still keep the faith and hope for a win! A few more tweaks and I'm sure we will start getting numbers in the 'W' column. Good luck lads.
