Dimes is clearly very passionate about Sale and as a result he has improved the dynamics at the club massively! His positivity is simply infectious! Carrington now has improved training facilities, including a new gym which has greatly tightened the way in which we train. The new stadium at Barton offers great promise. It's a fantastic stadium to play at and has great facilities for all the fans to enjoy. Hopefully this will draw in greater crowds and new supporters, in addition to the good old faithful Sale fans! It is the third stadium I have called home as a shark and it's great to still be playing with some of the lads that were here when I first started, as well as the new ones who joined in the last two seasons.
Honestly, the season hasn't got off to the greatest of starts, with six defeats. Nobody thought, with all the positivity and the changes in the summer, that the season would start in this way. However, it is a long season and there are plenty of matches still to come. The boys are determined to remain positive and begin to turn things around. This will come from the hard work that we continue to do with the coaching staff at Carrington, on and off the pitch. We all have to stick together and we are grateful to all the fans for sticking with us. They are so important on a match day as the 16th man and they will be integral to helping us climb up the table!
We are still very much developing as a team and things can only get better as we continue to grow and gel. The boys did a great job last season getting us through to the Heineken Cup but a lot of hard work is to be done now. It's going to be a big challenge and I will continue to give everything back to the club that gave me 'a chance'.

Our next home game will be our Heineken Cup opener against Cardiff Blues on Sunday 14th October. Click here to book your tickets now or call 08444 994 994.
