Terra Nova pupils and local residents Ike McCormick and Harry Sheil have been selected to represent the North of England Independent Schools rugby team.
The team, known as The Lambs, regularly play against the best teams from across the UK, and have upcoming fixtures in the Midlands, South West, South East and a tour at Easter to play in Scotland.
Both boys were picked following a trial match at Ampleforth College this week, where they showed their skills. Nia Linnell, Director of Games, commented: "Both Ike and Harry have demonstrated great ability, and have been playing rugby matches for an older year group. The team from the Lambs were impressed with Harry's speed and Ike's tactical awareness.
"Both boys have been coached for the past two years by Headmaster Andrew Lewin, who is a qualified rugby referee. They are key members of our rugby team, and we are immensely proud of them."
Andrew Lewin, Headteacher at Terra Nova said: "We are delighted that Ike and Harry have been selected, adding to former Terra Nova pupils who have represented the Lambs - Fraser Summer, William Lewin and Theo Smith.
Harry also plays rugby for Lymm RFC and Ike plays for Sandbach RUFC.
