Did you spot a Shark yesterday? Well it was hard to miss them if you were attending one of the Cheshire Cup games this weekend!
At Winnington Park, Chris Cusiter & Liam Parfitt were watching the U11s take part and awarded trophies and medals to all the participants and teams. The Plate Tournament was jointly won by Lymm & Wilmslow. Caldy won the U11s Bowl Tournament, and the winners of the U11 Cheshire Cup were Macclesfield.
George Nott and Magnus Lund were at Bolton RUFC for the U9 Cheshire Cup, and had a great time watching Lymm Rugby lift the trophy by beating Macclesfield in the final. The Plate was won by Wirral RUFC and Bowden RUFC claimed the Bowl.
The U8 Cheshire Cup was held at Macclesfield RUFC, and Tommy Taylor & Tom Morton went along. Winnington Wasps claimed the Cup, with the Plate being won by Sandbach. The Bowl was taken by Kersal Rhinos and Caldy 2 won the Vase.
Local boy Sam James & David Seymour were at Sandbach RUFC to watch the U10s Cheshire Cup. Parents were very appreciative of the time David & Sam took talking to the children, and getting involved with plenty of "selfie" shots.
At Bowden RUFC, Jonathan Mills & Tim Jeffers went down to cheer on the U7s Cheshire Cup event. Wilmslow won the Cup. Bowden claimed the Bowl & Lymm won the Plate, with the vase carried off to the Wirral by Birkenhead Park.
Sale FC held a mini festival for all the teams unable to compete in the Cheshire Cup and James Mitchell & Charlie Ingall attended to support the youngsters, and talk to parents about what it's like to be a first team member of the Sharks.
