Looking for a special Christmas present for a Rugby Union fan living in the North West? Maybe you know a Sale Sharks fan who finds that they can attend home matches on a regular basis after the turn of the year?
What's on offer? Great savings and some fantastic rugby!
- 8 games: 6 in the Aviva Premiership, one in the Heineken Cup and one in the LV= Cup.
- Priority booking if the club proceeds to the knockout stage in cup competitions.
What are the fixtures?
Worcester Warriors (Aviva Premiership): Friday 28th December (8.00pm)
Sharks were unfortunate not to win in the game at Sixways in October, and will be looking to rectify matters in their quest for Premiership safety. The ever-popular Dean Schofield returns as visiting captain to face his first senior club, but can expect few seasonal greetings until the final whistle has been blown. This game is not being televised - you simply have to be there!
Montpellier (Heineken Cup): weekend of 11th/12th/13th January
Montpellier possess a mighty pack, and behind them at fly half is the influential French international Francois Trinh-Duc. The visitors have a strong Argentine contingent, but French clubs are reputed not to travel well. Come and see if Sale Sharks can prove it and record a famous victory.
Scarlets (LV= Cup): weekend of 25th/26th/27th January
Sale Sharks enter this fixture equal on points with two other clubs: Worcester Warriors and Cardiff Blues. A repeat of last season's success against the Scarlets will set Sale Sharks up for the vital game at London Wasps the following weekend
Exeter Chiefs (Aviva Premiership): Friday 8th February (8.00pm)*
It's time for the Sharks to abolish the Indian sign that the Devon club holds over them. This will be the sixth competitive meeting between the sides, with the Chiefs boasting a 'five out of five' record. Sharks to break the mould ? Why not? With your help!
Harlequins (Aviva Premiership): Friday 22nd February (8.00pm)*
The champions arrive in Salford for the first time. Sharks will have to keep a wary eye out and not allow the Quins' deadly kicker Nick Evans chance to aim at the posts too often! This should be one of the games of the season.
Bath (Aviva Premiership): Friday 22nd March (8.00pm)*
Bath are always attractive visitors, with a traditionally strong pack and the likes of Nick Abendanon and Tom Biggs raiding from deep.
Gloucester (Aviva Premiership): Friday 12th April (8.00pm)*
More visitors from the South West with strong forward power, supported by half backs Jimmy Cowan and Freddie Burns. Watch out for England flyer Charlie Sharples.
London Wasps (Aviva Premiership): Saturday 4th May (3.00pm)
The 2012-13 season ends with a visit from the Wasps, who include former Sharks Simon McIntyre and the Bell brothers - Chris & Tommy - in their ranks.
