First up is the third and final Heineken Cup Pool 6 home game against Montpelier on Friday 11th January, kick off 8pm. Whilst it is not now possible for Sale Sharks to qualify for the knock out stages of the competition, the team are looking to finish the pool stages in third place, which will in later years help with the clubs seeding in the competition.

Next up, on Saturday 26th January, Sale Sharks entertain Scarlets in the LV Cup kick off 3pm. This year's competition is the most competitive ever with qualification still up for grabs for every team in the competition. Sale Sharks are joint top of group two with Worcester Warriors and Cardiff Blues. The LV Cup is the fastest way to qualify for a Heineken Cup place and Sale Sharks will be doing everything they can to progress to the semi final and final stages of the competition in March.

Sale Sharks best ever year in the competition was in 2006-2007 when they reached the semi final stages before losing to Leicester Tigers at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
