The Sharks Community Trust have been travelling on the road recently, as they have recently been to a school in Wales to deliver the highly successful Number Cruncherz Programme, in association with MBNA.
The team went to Ysgol John Bright in Llandudno and taught Year 7's and 8's about financial literacy skills outside of their school environment.
They are taught about the history and core values of rugby, before taking part in touch rugby sessions with out coaches.
The Year 7's went to the AJ Bell Stadium to have their lesson and it was their first experience of going to a stadium, which they loved.
The PE Teacher from the school said: "It has been great for the children to experience a stadium and to be taught rugby and finances by professional coaches."
Through a series of interactive sessions, Number Cruncherz aims to offer 15,000 11-12 year olds the opportunity to develop their number and financial literacy skills outside of their school environment. As financial education becomes part of the compulsory national curriculum in England for 11-16 year olds, MBNA and the Sale Sharks Community Trust aim to use this programme to reach out to enable schools to fulfil their commitments in an interesting and engaging way.
