Harlequins' form is in complete contrast to that of the Sharks however, as they lost to London Irish in their last league game before two successive defeats in the Heineken Cup against Scarlets at the Twickenham Stoop and Clermont Auvergne in France.
If Steve Diamond's men secure a win, it will be the first time Harlequins have lost three games in a row at home since they were relegated from the Premiership back in 2005.
With two wins out of three so far this season, Sale have shown that they have the ability to get points on the road as well as winning their home games.
This will be the first time the two clubs clash since last season's Anglo-Welsh Cup final at Sixways. Harlequins lifted the trophy with a 32-14 victory.
Sharks have won just one of the last six meetings between these two teams in the league, but did pick up a 29-19 win at the Stoop in the 2009 European Challenge Cup, when David Seymour was man of the match
Their last triumph in the league came at Edgeley Park in 2010, as Mark Cueto and Kyle Tonetti crossed in an impressive 21-17 win in an early season game.
Sale Sharks next home game is on Friday 1st November against Exeter Chiefs in the Aviva Premiership kick off 8pm. Sharks have won 9/12 games at the AJ Bell Stadium in 2013.
