The new Aviva Premiership season kicks off on Saturday 6th September and we are advised that we will receive the fixtures for the new season on Friday 4th July.
Before then, on Tuesday 10th June the groups will be drawn for the European Rugby Champions Cup. 20 teams have qualified for the competition. There will be five groups of four teams and Sale Sharks are among the elite clubs in what will be the inaugural season of the competition.
The competition will include seven English Clubs, six French teams and seven from the Pro12. For the Pro12 the best placed club from each country will qualify (4 places) with the remaining three places awarded to the highest ranked teams in the Pro12 table.
