MICHAEL PATERSON has joined the England tour squad in Dunedin. Michael was one of the Aviva Premiership stand out players last season and thoroughly deserves his call up.
The 29-year-old forward trained with the group today ahead of the game against the Crusaders in his native Christchurch next Tuesday.
England Head Coach Stuart Lancaster said: "We wanted some second row cover and with Michael having trained with us leading up to the Barbarians game and knowing our systems it made sense to call on him as he was in Christchurch visiting family. He trained well with us this morning and will be in contention for selection for what is an important match against the Crusaders."
Our last home game of the season is on Saturday 9th May when we take on Newcastle Falcons at The AJ Bell Stadium, kick off at 2pm. Join us to watch Mark Cueto play for the last time at home, infront of his much loved fans, and a chance to celebrate his career.
Speaking at the club's media day ahead of the side's game against Harlequins, Sale Sharks Skipper Dan Braid is demanding near flawless rugby from his charges between now and the end of the Aviva Premiership season.
