Sale Sharks today confirmed that Gordon McKie has ceased to be Chairman of the Club.
McKie was appointed in January 2014 having previously held positions as CEO of the Scottish Rugby Union and the Hong Kong Football Association.
Sale Sharks co-owner Ian Blackhurst said, "Gordon has made a significant and invaluable contribution to Sale Sharks in a relatively short period of time, and we thank him for his efforts. We appreciate the time and commitment that he has given alongside his other business interests. The Club has just concluded a successful season and we are well positioned to look forward to next season and beyond with confidence.''
Two British & Irish Lions are retiring at the end of the season, and they will be facing each other as Ugo Monye of Harlequins will be taking on Mark Cueto of Sale Sharks at The AJ Bell Stadium next Saturday (25th) at 2pm.
Don't miss Danny Cipriani's attempt to outfox England captain Chris Robshaw at our game against Quins next Saturday. Robshaw has battled to keep the world's top fly-half's quiet in England colours and will attempt to stifle Danny's exciting talent when they face up against each other at the AJ Bell Stadium.
