Number Cruncherz with Sharks Community Trust & MBNA
Over the last few weeks, the coaches and staff from Sharks Community Trust have been delivering the Number Cruncherz programme to schools throughout the north west.
"Many thanks to Sharks Community Trust and MBNA for supporting the event. Our students are looking forward to visiting Sale Sharks Club in September in order to use their enterprise knowledge by learning how the Club generates revenue and covers its costs". Miss Delaney (teacher of enterprise at St Bede's College).
Supported by MBNA, the Number Cruncherz programme was developed in partnership with the Sale Sharks Community Trust and the Personal Finance Education Group (pfeg) charity.
The Number Cruncherz programme begins with the Sale Sharks Community Trust coaches presenting to pupils and students. Here, the coaches teach the pupils about the history and core values of Rugby Union, as well as the history of Sale Sharks.
The coaches then encourage the pupils to take part in a touch rugby training session, which helps them to apply what they have learnt from the presentation, but it also helps the coaches to build a relationship with the pupils before their trip to the AJ Bell Stadium.

Following his tour of New Zealand with England Danny Cipriani was interviewed my GiveMeSport and had lots to say about the tour and next season. The balmy summer weather and pre-match hype in the Manchester Evening News and on BBC Radio Manchester ensured a good crowd turned up to watch a classic football v rugby cross code challenge as the Sale Sharks Supporters Club and Sale Sharks Community Coaches took on an Altrincham FC Supporters and staff side at the neutral sport of T20 cricket; a match sponsored by Plas Coch to open the Ashley Beer and Food Festival.
A five star holiday home park situated on Anglesey in North Wales is preparing for a raft of sharks to arrive this week. Plas Coch Holiday Home Park is playing host to Sale Sharks RUFC as they moor their rafts at Plas Coch's private slipway and make their way to the park for a sumptuous barbecue.
