Ahead of their fourth encounter with Saracens this season, Josh Beaumont has said that it's time Sale Sharks got the better of them having lost the past three meetings.
Sale's 10-game winless run included the three matches against Saracens, and while the two home fixtures were close affairs, the Sharks' last visit to Allianz Park saw them heavily beaten.
Meanwhile, Beaumont returned from injury in last weekend's win over Wasps, and is excited to be back in the fold.
"The team has come a long way since I got injured, so it's nice to get back into that winning environment," said the 23-year-old.
"It's not been a happy hunting ground for us but we have played well against them [at the AJ Bell Stadium]. Since we last played them we've cut a lot of our errors out so we just need to continue that, and I feel like we owe them a victory."
The club captain had spent six weeks out with a shoulder injury before returning with an 80-minute performance against the league leaders on Sunday.
But in his absence, Beaumont has been impressed with the contributions of stand-in captain Will Addison.
"Will's done a great job and he brought the guys together in what was a sticky patch," he explained.
"Guys like Sam James, Ross Harrison, Mike Haley and Cameron Neild all stood up too, along with the more experienced players. We're unbeaten at the moment so he's doing something right," he joked.
With five wins from their last five games, the Sharks travel to Saracens full of confidence, and Beaumont echoes the feeling.
He relayed back to his side's impressive statistics against Wasps, which saw them dominate possession and territory throughout the afternoon.
"We had over 60 per-cent territory and we had more possession, and it was nice to be able to see the points on the board for all that work," said Beaumont.
"There are still things we can do better, like working harder off the ball and creating more opportunities. We come up against a strong Saracens side who will be wanting to get a win after a couple of losses, so we have to be that extra bit better on the road.
"If we can get at them early doors and try to knock their confidence, then who knows what can happen."
