England debutant Denny Solomona said he was overwhelmed by "joy" and "pride" after scoring a last-minute match-winning try against Argentina on Saturday.
Solomona came off the bench and although he missed two early tackles, he grew into the game and sparked into life in the final moments after bouncing off one tackle and searing past two Argentinian defenders to dot down.
It helped England seal a 38-34 victory as they got their two-Test tour of Argentina off to a winning start.
"It's unreal, I think it's quite possibly the best/worst debut I've had in my life, credit to the boys, they dug deep for the full 80 minutes and that is what Test rugby is all about," said the Sale Sharks wing.
"It was a thrilling game to be part of and I'm glad to have made my debut along with the other nine players."
Speaking of his difficult first moments in an England shirt, he added: "It's something to work on and I will this week.
"In Test matches you do make mistakes and it's up to you whether you want to dwell on it or try and do your best for the team.
"I just remember putting the ball down and being overwhelmed with joy and pride. I hopefully redeemed myself after those two mistakes."
He says the side are now determined to go on and seal a 2-0 victory in Argentina and end the season on a winning note.
"I was buzzing on the bench, but credit to the staff they kept us quite calm and I was delighted to get on," he said.
"The boys did well and we are getting there and we are here to do a job and that's win 2-0."
