80 Businesses Join Sale Sharks 500 Club Open Evening

More than 80 business leaders from Greater Manchester joined Sale Sharks last Wednesday evening to learn more about membership in the Sale Sharks 500 Club for the 2009/10 rugby season. The senior managers and directors of their respective businesses were led on a tour of Edgeley Park’s excellent hospitality and conferencing facilities, before being provided the opportunity to network with other business leaders, relax over dinner and support the British & Irish Lions in their comprehensive victory over Natal Sharks.



The purpose of the evening was to promote the Sale Sharks 500 Club to new businesses, whilst also providing businesses in greater Manchester the chance to view the Edgeley Park facilities away from match days to encourage more businesses to support the Sharks by hosting their business events within the excellent facilities at Edgeley Park.



The event was also attended by the Irish Professional Network and Stockport Council’s Economic Development Team. Both organisations invited their own members to attend the event as they believe that the proposition of the Sale Sharks 500 Club, combining tickets to Premiership rugby union, top class hospitality and the opportunity to network with other business people, would appeal to their respective members.



A common theme that came up in discussion during the evening was the need for businesses to achieve value for money from their marketing and hospitality spend. Businesses still understand the importance of using corporate hospitality to build their business relationships, but are looking for options that deliver great value. Several current Sharks 500 Club members were quick to point out the excellent value of their 500 Club membership.



The Sale Sharks 500 Club is seeking new members for the 2009.10 Season. Entry level Squad Membership costs just £999 for the entire season and includes two season tickets with access to the 500 Club Suite on match days, attendance at five non-match day networking events, and listing on the Sale Sharks 500 Club website and directories.
