Dejected Sharks leave the pitch after Wasps refuse to play last Friday
Preview Saracens v Sharks ahead of Saturdays match
Wednesday, December 2nd 2009
Sale Sharks will travel south this Saturday 5th December to visit Saracens at their home ground of Vicarage Road in the Guinness Premiership, kick off 5.35PM.
Previous Premiership performances shows that Sharks have won seven of the thirteen games against Saracens since 22nd November 2003.
This Saturday will be the first game England internationals, Cueto and Tait, will get the chance to play, fitness permitting, since returning to the Sale Sharks squad, after Wasps refused to play at Edgeley Park last Friday evening.
Sharks have won only once at Vicarage Road, which was back in September 2005. Saracens have stormed to the top of the Premiership table this season and remain unbeaten, although Worcester Warriors ended their eight-match Premiership winning streak last weekend with a 12 12 draw at Sixways Stadium.
Sale Sharks got a much needed victory in their last Guinness Premiership match against Leeds Carnegie away at Headingly a couple of weeks ago. The match this weekend will be a big challenge for Sharks as they aim to claim a consecutive away win and be the first team to beat the mighty Saracens.
