Nick Macleod: first try for the club

Sale Sharks beat Bristol 32-13 at Edgeley Park, running in four tries from Eifion Roberts, Juan Fernandez Lobbe, Nick Macleod and Neil Briggs. Charlie Hodgson contributed three conversions and two penalties in an increasingly impressive team performance with second rower Dean Schofield taking the Man of the match award. The club went top until Saturday's programme. Bristol replied with a last minute Dan Ward-Smith try, Adrian Jarvis scoring a conversion and two penalties.

After Sharks' visit to Saracens on St.David's Day, Newcastle Falcons are next up at Edgeley Park on Sunday, 8th March (1.15 p.m.).
