Sharks Plan to Increase Support with Four New Roles

Wednesday, November 25th 2009

Sale Sharks are looking to recruit four new people into the business in the new year to further improve the levels of support underpinning Kingsley Jones and his team on the pitch. The roles form part of the club’s ongoing plan to increase revenues in the second half of the season and to ensure that the club becomes sustainable in its vision of providing top quality Guinness Premiership and Heineken Cup rugby for the people of the North West.

Two of the roles will be focused on increasing attendances for Sharks matches. The role of Ticket Sales Manager, in particular, will be responsible for ensuring that new people are attracted to Edgeley Park, and that we persuade existing supporters to attend more often. This will include creating and executing ticket initiatives to target rugby people, businesses, rugby clubs and schools throughout the North West region.

Sale Sharks’ Commercial Director Nathan Bombrys aims to see the club generate more revenues to support the club’s on-field ambitions.

“No question, the first half of the season has been challenging. However, we are aiming to meet this challenge head on and to see more support behind the team in the new year. As our team is beginning to make real progress on the pitch, now is the time to ensure that we have the right people in place to generate the revenues off the pitch to support them for the rest of the season and into future seasons.”

Brief descriptions of the four new roles are provided below. The full job descriptions with details on how to apply and deadlines can be downloaded from the corresponding links.
