Steve Hanley talks rugby with Alex Sanderson and David Doherty

Sharks stars take supporters to England v All Blacks on Stan's Day Out

Former England star and top all-time Sale Sharks try scorer, Steve Hanley, took Former Sale Sharks Captain and England international back row, Alex Sanderson, with wing David Doherty and Selorm Kuadey along with him and 150 supporters on Stan’s Day Out to watch England v All Blacks last weekend.

500 Club members and Sale Sharks supporters were exclusively invited to join Steve Hanley and his rugby crew at the Crown Pub for a pre-match hearty meal and an inclusive open bar. Hanley conducted a Q & A pre-match with Sanderson, Doherty and Kuadey in front of a hundred and fifty England and All Black supporters, who got the chance to hear their exclusive thoughts on England’s international performance so far this season.

Stan’s Day Out was extremely successful; watching the All Blacks win at Twickenham.

One lucky supporter also won an England shirt signed by Sharks wing & full back Mark Cueto.

Steve Hanley commented, “It’s great seeing so many 500 Club members and Sale Sharks supporters here! Everyone seemed to have a fantastic time with the open bar and Q and A from the players. Having two of our Sale Sharks players represent England out there was fantastic to see.”

England showed a new fighting spirit on Saturday against the All Blacks with Mark Cueto showing a confident presence under the high ball and rapid pace out of defence. Mathew Tait was a supporter’s favourite and showed great potential in the last five minutes he was called on for.

Sale Sharks will be hosting Stan’s Day Out for the 6 Nations games, England v Wales on Saturday 6th February and England v Ireland on Saturday 27th February. Stan’s Day Out includes match ticket, Q and A with Sharks players, and pre and post match hospitality with lunch, canapés and an open bar all for £229 + VAT per person.
