Steve Hanley Looks Forward To His Testimonial Game

Guinness Premiership Record Try Scorer Steve Hanley is looking forward to his Testimonial Game at Heywood Road, next Saturday, 11th July, Kick Off 3pm. Steve said, “ I made my debut at Heywood Road in 1998 against Cardiff and have some wonderful memories of playing at the old ground.”
The Testimonial Day starts at 12 noon with a mini rugby festival and followed by the legends game.
Talking about the game Steve said, “ I am delighted that so many of my former team mates are travelling to Sale to play including Apollo Perelini who is flying in from Dubai to play and Kev Yates is travelling from the South of France where he now lives. Steve Diamond will captain one side and I will captain the other and it promises to be a great day out.”
Players taking part include…… Jason Robinson, Bryan Redpath, Kingsley Jones, Kev Yates, Ian Fullarton, Barry Stewart, Dave Baldwin, Apollo Perelini, Steve Smith, Andy Morris, Jos Baxendell, BJ Mather, Mel Deane, Dan Harris, David Rees, Richard Wilks and Matt Moore.
Alex Sanderson and Pete Anglesea will be Team Managers
After the game Paul Roberts (ex Stranglers) will be providing the entertainment in the Little B on Marsland Road.
