Lee Thomas returns from injury against Leeds last Friday in the Premiership

Trevor Woodman former Sale Shark and England World Cup winning prop now on the coaching staff at London Wasps visits Edgeley Park this Friday 27th November to battle it out against the Sharks in the Guinness Premiership.

History shows that Sharks and Wasps sit level against each other with 7 – 7 wins since the match on 3rd October 2003 in the Zurich Premiership, in which Wasps narrowly won 37 – 33.

This Friday, both teams will be able to welcome back their England internationals, fitness permitting, and will be at or near to full strength. Wasps have been enjoying a strong Premiership campaign, and despite losing at home to Leeds Carnegie and away against league leaders Saracens, they sit 4th in the Guinness Premiership.

Sale Sharks got a much needed victory in their last Guinness Premiership match against Leeds Carnegie last weekend. Charlie Hodgson’s boot was the difference on the day. Kingsley Jones’ men will hope to emulate their achievement of last season when they beat Wasps both home and away for the first time in club history. Supporters will no doubt remember the fantastic 31-3 victory over Wasps last Boxing Day in front of a sell-out crowd at Edgeley Park!

This North v. South clash is a huge match for Sale Sharks; to prove they have got power and determination against a strong Wasps team and to hopefully move the club further up the Guinness Premiership table.
