Kingsley Jones
Unbeaten Sharks Host Bath on Friday

Sale Sharks will hope to make amends for the disappointment of coming away from Newcastle with just a draw when they play Bath at Edgeley Park this Friday 18th September.
Sharks’ Director of Rugby Kingsley Jones was disappointed that his team did not come away from Kingston Park with the victory.
He said: "That was two points dropped in my opinion. In the first half we did not respect Newcastle and we tried to score every time we got the ball. The game plan was to put the ball in behind their inexperienced back three and it wasn't until the final 30 minutes that we entered into that plan. If that had gone on another five minutes I think we would have won it."
Jones and his team will now focus their energy on the visit of last season’s semi-finalists Bath to Edgeley Park on Friday.
Bath have had a difficult start to their Premiership campaign, losing a close game at home against Wasps on Saturday in addition to the heavy defeat they suffered at Gloucester on the opening weekend.
Bath did pick up a win at Edgeley Park last season as the Sharks lost out 21 – 24 in the EDF Energy Cup.
The Sharks made amends in the Guinness Premiership, however, with Mark Cueto and Charlie Hodgson scoring tries and Andrew Sheridan putting in a Man of the Match performance in the 23 – 16 victory.
Kingsley Jones speaking about Bath at Edgeley Park this Friday,“we will need to improve upon today’s performance to earn another win in front of our home supporters. We always seem to have a large crowd when we play Bath and it will be a fantastic atmosphere. I know the players will be hungry to put in a winning performance on Friday.”
