How to get there By car: Off M.8 at J.16. Follow A.81 Maryhill Road towards Maryhill. Turn right into Firhill Road for ground. From the city centre: Underground to St Georges Cross. When you leave the station you're at the junction of Great Western Road and Maryhill Road. To get to the stadium, head north along Maryhill Road. When Garscube Road merges with Maryhill Road, look out for Firhill Street or Springbank Street on your right - walking up either of these streets will lead you to Firhill Road, and you will be facing the stadium. Low level train to Maryhill Maryhill Station is the closest to Firhill Stadium, but it is a considerable walk from here to the ground. Catching the Underground from the city centre or Hillhead is a better option. Buses Lots of buses run along Maryhill Road, some of which are: TBC. From outside the city If you are travelling by car from the north or east. Take the M8 to Glasgow and exit at Junction 16, sign-posted for Aberfoyle. Drive straight on at the first two sets of traffic lights along Dobbies Loan until you reach a roundabout under the motorway, which is controlled by traffic lights. Be in the right hand lane to take the third exit. Continue forwards onto Garscube Road (A81), carrying straight forward at the next set of lights (but bearing left). Having driven past the Oakbank Industrial Estate on the right and then a car dealership on the left, at the next set of lights, get into the right hand lane to turn right onto onto Firhill Road to arrive at the stadium. By car from the south or west. Take the M8 to Glasgow, cross the Kingston Bridge and exit at Junction 17. This will lead onto the A82, Great Western Road. After roughly half a mile, turn right at traffic lights, at St Margarets Cathedral, into Napiershall Street. Continue forwards, crossing over a mini-roundabout. Continue until the road meets Maryhill Road, directly opposite the Community Hall. Turn left, and then take second road on the right, Hinshaw Street. Continue through traffic lights onto Firhill Road, with the stadium on the right. |
