Limited to just five appearances for the Sharks last season, Andrew is an established England international and twice a British and Irish Lions tourist. Famed for his ability with weights – he was tagged the strongest man in English rugby by Bob Dwyer while the duo were at Bristol – he took time to master front-row play after being switched from the second row. A huge physical presence, Andrew toured South Africa with England in 2000 while still with the Shoguns before joining the Sharks after the 2002/03 season. His performances for Sale caught the attention of the international selectors once again and he was finally awarded his first Test cap against Canada in the autumn of 2004. |
