The groundstaff have worked throughout the night to clear the snow off the frost covers and the snow is now being moved out of the ground by groundstaff and support staff.
The stadium have hired a snow-plough and it is currently clearing the car parks and approach roads from the A57. With the temperatures rising and the sun shining the thaw has already started.
SKY television have finished their instillation and checks and we have the added bonus this afternoon of a big screen situated between the South and East Stands.
Transport for Greater Manchester advise that the buses are running as normal and with it being a Saturday afternoon game they will be in 'peak mode' both before and after the game.
Supporters need to be aware of a gas leak on the A57 just before the turn in to the stadium and this is being currently worked on. Temporary traffic lights are in place.
