The Penrith-born flyer was fast-tracked into the Sale starting XV in Autumn 2011, after returning from injury to score two tries in a friendly against Oxford University.

He appeared in 15 league games last season and capped a strong campaign, particularly for a teenager.

After naming Will in the U20 squad for the Junior World Championship in the summer, England boss Stuart Lancaster said: “He has huge potential. To come in and play in the Premiership at such a young age takes a lot of doing.”
