Sale Sharks COACHING YOU Programmes are after school clubs for all ages. The coaching sessions range from tag-rugby to contact rugby. Charlie Hodgson coaching in the community Sale Sharks COACHING YOU clubs 6 or 12 week blocks they can be run in school hours or after school and are for all abilities, so if you want improve your game or just start playing. We can help. McAfee and Sportsmatch Sale Sharks main sponsor McAfee, with the help of Sportsmatch, fund tag rugby coaching within 48 schools in the North West. This is a huge committment that means that around 3000 children enjoy 5 weeks of tag rugby coaching by the Sale Sharks community staff and then a Sale Sharks festival all completely free of charge. For many of these children this is their first taste of rugby and they fully enjoy it.

EDF Energy National Schools Rugby Programme Sharks Primary Link offers in-school tag rugby coaching to primary schoolchildren throughout the North West. Since 2001over 15,000 children in more than 100 primary schools across the Trafford, Stockport, Manchester and Cheshire have received rugby coaching through the Sale Sharks Primary Link Scheme. Twice that amount have also been invited to attend one of the Sharks' taster sessions to promote the in-school coaching. According to Marketing Manager Nathan Bombrys, this is just the beginning. ?We?re aiming to work in 48 schools and more than double the number of pupils who receive Sharks coaching by the end of the school year. At present, Sale Sharks run a variety of scheme thanks to Main Sponsor McAfee and Sportsmatch. The scheme generally runs for a 6 week block in each school and includes a taster session, several weeks of tag rugby coaching, visit to Edgeley Park and a tag rugby festival or competition.
