SALE SHARKS WORLD CUP HOME-COMING PARTY, SPONSORED BY THE MAGAZINE, IN ASSOCIATION WITH WAITORSE CHEADLE HULME

Sale Sharks paid tribute to their World Cup heroes when they hosted their very exclusive World Cup Home-Coming Party at Edgeley Park on Wednesday 28 November 2007.

The black tie dinner was sponsored by The Magazine, in association with Waitrose Cheadle Hulme, and in aid of rugby's official charity Wooden Spoon, which helps disadvantaged children and young people.

Guests were greeted with champagne and canapes on arrival, courtesy of Waitrose Cheadle Hulme.

A traditional Scottish piper led the way to the Insider Suite for dinner, where guests were joined by the Sale Sharks World Cup players - all 11 of them - including All Black Luke McAlister, France Sebastien Chabal and England's very own Mark Cueto and Andrew Sheridan!

Sale Sharks Hospitality Sales Manager, Jerome Boissel, said:

'Following a successful 2007 World Cup, with England reaching the final and four Sale Sharks players collecting medals, there has never been a better time to enjoy rugby and experience the finest corporate hospitality and facilities on offer at Edgeley Park. This World Cup Home-Coming Party was a truly unique opportunity to showcase what we can do and remind the business community that we are only 10 minutes away from Manchester City Centre!'

We would like to thank:

  • Event sponsor The Magazine
  • Event associate sponsor Waitrose Cheadle Hulme
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Gresty's Flower Services who kindly offered a bouquet to the players' wives and partners
  • and all the attendees for their support!

Sale Sharks next black tie event will be held at Edgeley Park in May 2008 when we host our official end-of-season gala dinner.
