Sale Sharks launched their new Canterbury kit as the finale to ‘Sharks in the City’ in Hardman Square, Spinningfields today. The first team squad had arrived just before noon and ran through a sequence of training drills on the grass in front of a large crowd of business partners, supporters and interested onlookers at the fashionable open-air City centre venue.
A strong Media presence then covered the launch of the club’s new navy and white first choice kit made by Canterbury, who were selling shirts after Sale Sharks’ Business Manager Steve Hanley had interviewed onstage models Andy Powell, Mark Cueto and Danny Cipriani. The event was hosted by Sale Sharks’ matchday announcer, Tim Cocker of the XFM Breakfast Show.
The kit will be available online via this website from Monday. It will be worn at the JP Morgan Sevens at Edgeley Park next Friday – the last rugby action to be played there. Book your tickets online!
Right on cue, the rain, which had mostly held off for the majority of the proceedings, became heavier. The players and staff mingled with their supporters, prior to departing for Carrington.
