Sharks returned to winning ways on Friday Night with an emphatic win over Leicester Tigers in the Gallagher Premiership. Here’s what you might have missed, away from the scoreboard…
Cliffy in the #RuckTruck
It was fan-favourite, Will Cliff’s turn in the #RuckTruck at the Leicester game. There was a big turnout for the scrum-half outside the AJ Bell, and it was great to see him out there after his collision last week.Postlethwaite’s Prem Debut
It was a special night for Academy graduate Matt Postlethwaite on Friday, as he came on in the 67th minute to replace James Phillips, getting his first Premiership appearance for the Sharks. More to come!
Morozov’s First Try
It was another first for new recruit Valery Morozov on Friday night. Our Russian International crossed the whitewash claiming his first try for the club!
Half Time Challenge
It was Clitheroe’s turn at the 100 Club Half Time Challenge, and they notched up 6 points to tie league leaders Chester! Think your team could beat their score? You could win £2000 and 500 tickets to the first Sale Sharks home fixture of the 2019/20 season if you do! Find out more and how to enter HERE.
Stat Of The Match
Before tonight only one other English top division match has finished without a single kick going through the uprights, when @gloucesterrugby beat @LeicesterTigers 28-0 (seven 4-point tries) at Kingsholm in the old Courage League division 1 on 14 January 1989!
