Rugby Sales Executive

Salary: £18-£21k (depending on experience) + commission (OTE £25-£30k) + Company Car

Working hours: 35 hours per week (working week will be either Tues-Sat or Wed-Sun)

Scope: Liaising with rugby clubs and schools across the North West you will be responsible for creating and maintaining relationships to generate ticket sales for Sale Sharks fixtures. Supported by Sale Sharks Community Trust you will have access to coach education sessions, rugby festivals, school visits and other group events.

Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Must have clean license
  • DBS check will be undertaken
  • Lead and maximise ticket sales opportunities for Sale Sharks continuing and improving growing attendances at fixtures
  • Generate group ticket sales for Sale Sharks fixtures
  • Process ticket bookings utilising Ticketmaster system
  • Creating and maintaining relationships with rugby clubs & schools across the North West
  • Attending rugby clubs & schools across the North West to build relationships
  • Develop and track all activities efficiently on CRM system
  • Act as contact point for existing and potential customers
  • Respond to in-bound queries re: group bookings
  • Increase attendance utilising complimentary tickets for North West rugby clubs / schools / guides / scouts etc
  • Attending community events (festivals, coach education, school visits etc) to present group ticket options
  • Attending academy / DPP events to present group ticket options (parents’ evenings, DPP training sessions)
  • Utilising Sale Sharks social media (working with the marketing team) to create content to generate interest in fixtures
  • Selling Sale Sharks mascot, dream team & guard of honour packages
  • Working to a strict budget when arranging group bookings considering cost of coach hire, ticket commissions etc
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain long lasting relationships with all stakeholders
  • Chaperoning player appearances in line with 100 Club group bookings (attending player appearances at local rugby clubs & high schools throughout the season)
  • Bollington payback – liaise with Club chairman / premises manager to introduce to Bollington Insurance and claim payback funds
  • Act as an ambassador of Sale Sharks at all times

Person Specification:

Experience:

  • Must have at least 1-years’ experience in a sales / business development role (any industry)
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience in customer service (any industry)
  • Excellent computer literacy and written communication skills

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong relationship development skills
  • Confident when engaging with new contacts
  • Happy to work towards sales targets
  • Able to work independently to prioritise time whilst meeting / exceeding sales targets

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge and experience of Club rugby would be hugely advantageous
