Curry and Wilson In England’s Starting Lineup

TOM CURRY & MARK WILSON WILL START ALONGSIDE EACH OTHER IN THE BACK ROW FOR ENGLAND THIS FRIDAY NIGHT.

Eddie Jones has named his ‘mix and match’ England side to face Italy this Friday (6th Sep) in the Quilter Internationals, with the two Sharks forwards in the starting lineup.

Tom Curry will start alongside Mark Wilson for what will be a preview of a potential back row pairing for Sale Sharks in 2019-20. Curry retains the number 6 shirt, whilst Wilson comes in to replace Sam Underhill at 7.

The fixture will be played at St.James’ Park – the first England Test match to be played at the ground in Newcastle which hosted three Rugby World Cup fixtures in 2015.

Jones said: “We are excited to be playing in Newcastle. We are playing at an iconic football ground and we know the area is an important one for rugby in the northern part of England. We are looking forward to seeing and playing in front of the fans.”
