Volunteers from Seashell Trust attended the Sale Sharks v Gloucester match at the AJ Bell Stadium on Saturday 19thOctober to bucket collect and raise the profile of the valuable work that the charity offer.
“Sale Sharks are longstanding supporters of Seashell Trust and we are delighted to be given the opportunity to take part in the bucket collection at the match, raising vital funds for our fantastic children and young people” explained Dominic Tinner, Head of Fundraising. “We provide education and care, from ages 2 – 25 years.”
Sale Sharks Co-owner Ged Mason said, “Sales Sharks are delighted and proud to support the Seashell Trust. The Seashell Trust support children and young adults with complex learning disabilities and additional communication needs from across the UK. They provide education and care at their great facility based in Cheadle Hulme in Cheshire.”
Seashell Trust provides support to families, carers, schools, colleges and other settings through their family and outreach services which provide extra training, advice and other services. The facilities at Seashell act as a community hub for those in the local area giving people access to its fully inclusive gym, 3G sports pitch, swimming pool and other sporting facilities.
At the matchday, the volunteers got to meet Sale Sharks star Denny Solomona (pictured) and raised £468.53 for the charity.
