Meet The Trustees
The Trust is governed by a board of Trustees who oversee the finances, management and strategic direction of the Trust. Our current Trustees are,
Jonny is Chair of the Trustees. Having been involved in the Trust for over 10 years before taking a role at the Club, Jonny provides extensive support for the work of the Trust along with aligning Trust work to the Club vision.
John provides expertise around PR, marketing and communications from his wealth of experience within the media and marketing roles
Michelle is co-owner of Sale Sharks and sits on the board of trustees with invested interest. She brings a wealth of experience from the not-for-profit sector. Michelle provides extensive support for the work of the Trust along with aligning Trust work to the Club vision.
Sarah is an experienced executive and non-executive director, trustee and board advisor in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. She combines extensive strategic communications and reputation management experience with brand development and practical media expertise. A specialist in dealing with journalists in crisis situations and in minimising the risk of reputational damage to individuals and organisations across sectors.
Her broad experience of strategy, risk management and governance comes through working in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors – as well as in her own business. Sarah is a strategic communications specialist in a variety of sectors at board level; also an Ambassador and Presenter for Women on Boards and an Ambassador for Women in the Law.
James is an accountant, who provides extensive financial advice and guidance to the Trust along with overseeing the submission of audited accounts to Companies House and the Charity Commission.
Peter is RFU Board member for Cheshire – links in the work we are undertaking across his region
Rob is RFU Board member for Lancashire, as Peter above but also sits on the national RFU community board
