Centre Connor Doherty is another graduate of Kirkham Grammar School, and has shared his journey through the ranks at Sharks with fellow Kirkhamians Kieran Wilkinson and Aaron Reed.
His rugby journey began at St Ambrose College, in Altrincham, where, with Connor as captain, his school rugby teams became Cheshire champions in year seven, eight, nine and 11.
He also played junior rugby at Altrincham Kersal before joining the Sharks Academy at the age of 14 and he made his first team debut in the Anglo-Welsh Cup in the 2017/18 season when he was just 17.
