Carly Waters

Scrum-half Carly Waters joined Sale Sharks Women from Saracens ahead of the 2022/23 Premier15s season. 

The US international had spent one year at the StoneX Stadium after joining from American side Glendale Merlins, who won back-to-back Women’s Premier League titles in 2014 and 2015. 

Carly started her rugby career in 2010 at Dowingtown Rugby Club, in Philadelphia, and stayed there until 2014, when she switched to the Pennsylvania State University Women’s Rugby Football Club. 

A short spell at New York Rugby Club followed before Carly made the move to the Merlins and then to the Premier15s. 

Carly is one of the most decorated US internationals, playing for the U20s side in 2016, USA collegiate all Americans in 2017/2018 and then the full national side from 2018.
