Former Wales Under-20 prop Joe Jones re-joined Sharks from Coventry for a third spell at the club during the 2021/22 season. The powerful scrummager , who has won five caps for Wales under 20s, had spent time in the Sharks academy as a youngster before joining Cardiff Blues in 2013. After a short spell at Perpignan, in France, he re-joined Sharks in 2018 and after making 29 appearances in two years, he left again to join Doncaster Knights.
After a season at Doncaster, he made the switch to Coventry, before joining Sharks initially on loan during the 2021/22 season. After a series of impressive performances that deal was made permanent.
