Scrum half Will Cliff started out at Sandbach Rugby Club, before joining the Sharks Academy via a spell at Macclesfield.
He spent the early part of 2007/8 season helping Manchester win promotion and was the Jets’ Player of the Year that season too.
A loan move to Leeds in 2011-12 helped prepare the boyhood Sharks fan further for the rigours of professional rugby and he went on to make more than 100 appearances for the club before departing for Bristol in the summer of 2015.
In 2017 Will re-joined Sharks on a two-year deal and has gone on to become a fans’ favourite.
