Signed on a two-year contract from Brive in the summer, Ben swam against the tide of players crossing the Channel to France as he looks to revive his England career.
A World Cup winner in 2003, he won the last of his 57 caps against South Africa in November 2006, the autumn before he made the move to Brive from Northampton.
Memorably, Cohen’s World Cup win completed an incredible family double as his uncle George had won the football version in 1966.
His form dipped thereafter, though, and he later admitted with brutal honesty that he had been “paid for a job I hated doing”. But he has come back with all guns blazing.
Hugely powerful, Ben has the capacity to terrorise backlines across Europe
Speaking when he signed, Kingsley Jones said: "This is a real coup for the club." |
