JOB TITLE: Academy Performance Analyst

HOURS OF WORK: Part-time: 2.5 days per week), based on-site

WHO WE ARE: Sale Sharks is the only Premiership Rugby Union team in the North-West, playing top-flight rugby in the Gallagher Premiership and European Champions Cup, with an emerging Women’s team competing in Premiership Women’s Rugby.
THE OPPORTUNITY: This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic analysist to work across both our Academy and first team structures. The successful candidate will analyse player and team performance, producing reports and materials to evidence performance. This would be an ideal position for someone looking to develop and progress their career in An elite sporting environment.
KEY TASKS:
Academy:
• Lead the U16s in filming, coding, uploading & reviewing training and fixtures.
• Assist with filming, coding and uploading training sessions for the U17s & U18s.
• Team and Individual codes for U17s when double headers with U18s.
• Assist with filming of home games for U18s.
• Produce post-match stat books for U16s & U17s.
• Filming of SDG fixtures and festivals.
• Filming and team code of ACE College fixtures.
• Produce post-match stat books for ACE Colleges.
1st Team:
• One day a week assisting with filming of 1st Team Training.
• Match day set up, filming and coding of 1st Team Games.
• Completing a referee preview for each game.
• Updating 1st Team Cohesion for block reviews.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Experience using Hudl Sportscode
• Experience using Excel and or Numbers.
• Experience using Powerpoint or Keynote and I-Movie.
• Experience filming team training and fixtures of any sport.
• Flexibility to work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Good organisational skills as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Enhanced DBS clearance and a full driving licence with access to a car / transport.

The work will include unsociable hours such as bank holidays, early mornings, evenings and weekends if required
