Ellen Ramsbottom

Versatile back Ellen ‘Rambo’ Ramsbottom joined Sharks from Loughborough Lightning in October 2022, having spent five years at the Premier15s side. 

Equally happy in the centre or on the wing, Ellen started playing tag rugby at school when she was just ten years old. She joined a local girls’ rugby team in London, and never looked back. 

She joined Loughborough in 2017 and international recognition with England’s U20s team followed. 

Outside rugby, Rambo is a student at Loughborough University studying sport science. She also works part-time for a company called Impact, which makes specialised gumshields.
