Sharks kick off Gallagher Premiership campaign at home to Saints

Your Sharks will kick off their 2023/24 Gallagher Premiership season by hosting Northampton Saints at the Salford Stadium.

Phil Dowson’s side will make the trip north on Sunday, October 15, with the 1330 kick off picked as one of the live games for the newly re-branded TNT Sports.

Round two sees Alex Sanderson’s team hit the road for the first time as they travel to last season’s beaten semi-finalists, Leicester Tigers, on Saturday, October 21 (KO 1505, live on TNT Sports).

And that’s followed up by another testing away assignment as we travel to the south-west to face Exeter Chiefs in round three (Saturday, October 28, KO 1500).

November kicks off with a home game under the Friday night lights as Gloucester visit the Salford Stadium (Friday, November 3, KO 1945, live on TNT Sports).

And after a trip to Ashton Gate to face Pat Lam’s Bristol Bears (Saturday, November 11, KO 1500), November wraps up with two home games.

Up first is the battle of the north as Newcastle Falcons make the trip across the Pennines (Friday, November 17, KO 1945).

That’s followed by the visit of Bath the following Friday (November 24, KO 1945).

The Friday night theme continues into December as we take on Harlequins at The Stoop in round eight on December 1 (KO 1945), before attention turns to the Heineken Champions Cup, and the visit of French Top 14 side Stade Francais (Sunday, December 10, KO 1300, live on TNT Sports/ITV).

A mouth-watering trip to Dublin to face Leinster follows the week after (Saturday, December 16, KO 1730, live on RTE/TNT).

And then it’s back to Premiership action with a chance for redemption against last season’s Premiership winners, Saracens, on Friday, December 22 (KO 1945, live on TNT Sports).

The year ends with a trip to the Cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens on Saturday, December 30 (KO 1505).

Tickets for the first three home games of the season – against Northampton, Gloucester and Newcastle – will be on sale from August 1.

The remaining fixture dates are TBC as it currently stands, but the Sharks run-in features some huge fixtures home and away, including visits from Leicester Tigers and Harlequins, as well as a season finale showstopper away at Saracens.
