Sharks CEO Sutton to depart

Sale Sharks can confirm that CEO Sid Sutton has left the club after almost three years in the role.

Sid, who joined the club in November 2020, has resigned with immediate effect.

Sharks co-owner Simon Orange said: “Sid led the club through the challenging Covid-19 period and he should be proud of what the club has achieved on and off the field during his time in the job.

“We wish him and his family all the very best for the future.”

Operations Director Paul Smith has been appointed interim CEO and he will be supported by Sales and Marketing Director Claire Butters, as the club looks to build on last season’s success on and off the pitch.
