Ben and Tom Curry return for Alex Sanderson’s side to face Newcastle Falcons at the Salford Stadium on Friday night (live on TNT Sports, KO 7.45pm), while Dan du Preez also features in a matchday squad for the first time in more than eight months after suffering a knee injury in January.
In total the Sharks Director of Rugby has made four changes to his XV from the 31-27 win over Gloucester last Friday.
The Sharks front-row shows one change from last week as James Harper comes in at tighthead for his first start of the season. He’ll line up alongside Si McIntyre and last Friday’s two-try hero Luke Cowan-Dickie.
In the second-row Ben Bamber teams up with the returning Hyron Andrews, while in the back-row, skipper Ben Curry and Ernst van Rhyn start alongside Tom Curry at number 8.
The backs are unchanged with Gus Warr starting once again at scrum-half alongside Rob du Preez at fly-half, while in the centres, Sam Bedlow starts alongside Will Addison
Last week’s player of the match Arron Reed starts will line up again alongside Tom Roebuck and full-back Joe Carpenter in the back three.
Hooker Ethan Caine, and props Tumy Onasanya and Asher Opoku-Fordjour cover the front row from the replacements bench with Josh Beaumont, Dan du Preez and Sam Dugdale covering the rest of the forwards. Nye Thomas and Tom Curtis cover the backs.
